Paint In Progress, work by Neville Cox

I get my inspiration from the West Country countryside. I particularly love the coast, and what could be more spectacular than the northern edge of Exmoor, or more beautiful than the rugged cliffs of the Lizard. Whenever I can and in most weathers, I like to paint and sketch outdoors. For oil sketching I keep my equipment to a minimum and use a Guerilla pochade box with a carbon fibre tripod. Most of my work now consists of finished pochade paintings and studio work based on my sketches and photographs.

Many of my paintings can be seen and purchased at Churchgate Gallery, Porlock. They hold regular exhibitions of my work.

I am now a member of the Lizard Art Co-operative in Cornwall. They have a permanent gallery at Trelowarren which opens from Easter to October and in 2018 I will be exhibiting there.
